The creation of a site on MODx CMS video tutorial
Almost a year ago, in November 2010, I had the desire to make training videos for a site on MODx Evolution. Less than six months, as a year has passed and I am happy to show you his creation. So long as the video is not a format of Habra, I made a short teaser called "the Website on MODx in 5 minutes", and under the cut is the full video.
Especially for those who are interested or not have time so quickly to assimilate the information — under a cat the complete video (30 minutes) on how to install and configure MODx to prepare a template for integration into MODx, integrate and get the site ready. And all this I explain in detail.
Here's the full video, and below is the story of how I did it.

As I said above, the story of the creation of this video lasted almost a year. It all started with the fact that I didn't want to hum and mumble into the microphone and decided to record separately the audio and the video script.
The script was ready within a week, a total of 10 pages. Next I filmed the video without sound. Not the name of the experience in such matters — I spent a long time with the choice of codec and recording programs.
In the end, I chose CamStudio 2 for video recording, the website downloaded a codec which gave a reasonable sized files on exit. The sound I recorded in the spring of 2011 in the Studio of a friend, but it turned out that the MIC is quiet and have to sit closer to him, but another opportunity to enroll I not turned up and we had to understand first the sound editor was Adobe Soundbooth. Honestly I tried to use Audacity but it crashed several times with all its changes and I abandoned the idea.
A significant portion of time was spent on the cleaning of poisonous substances, of sighs and noises in the audio. But then there was a question far more interesting — and than it all comes together, because I have a sound for 15 minutes, and the video 40.
To deal with Adobe Premiere and I have failed just by the fact that all my attempts to create a project and add video were in vain. Time after time, the Shaitan the machine refused to show me my video and then I'm right back where I started — Camtasia Studio. Because of the fact that video recording is it buggy on my machine and to reinstall because of this, Windu was not the slightest desire, I began to write the video in CamStudio.
The process was slow, I was constantly piling work mixed with laziness and 2 months ago, it was ready 7 minutes of finished video. However, the effort helped in this case, I began each Saturday to devote 2-3 hours for a good cause and the work went on.
You can't imagine how I was worried about posting this video for everyone to see, because it is not very easy, it was given to me =)
Those who have read up to here is a bonus — a selection of useful links from the video, as well as the source code.
extra page, and then you never know =)
PS: YouTube said that will not show the people of Germany a short video, here it is on Vimeo. A great movie even refused to post due to its size.
PS2: I Suggest everyone to make a similar video about their CMS. I mean a short clip.
